I had about 30 minutes for lunch — and I mostly spent it tinkering in Google SketchUp. It felt like a waste of time and effort. But I’m glad I stuck with it. In the final few minutes, I sketched something practical: a clean, simple coffee bar for the wall, and a two-piece bench that looked... okay.
For the past five years, I’ve had an antique dining table doubling as a toaster and microwave stand — and no shelves.
Today’s prompt was simple: draw something I could actually build this weekend. Nothing rushed. Nothing amateur. Nothing that would leave the space worse than it already is.
